Features
- Right Eye / Left Eye option for viewing and stowage allows for continued peripheral viewing of NVG system for enhanced safety.
- Also compatible with PVS-14 when used with the Norotos Dual Dovetail Adapter or a "J-Arm with a dovetail.
- Optimized stowage position allows continual user knowledge relative to potential hazardous damage to NVG and /or users head.
- Minimized accidental impact of NVG compared to conventional top stowage positions.
- Side-loaded impact is minimized/prevented with Norotos' patented Force-to-Overcome (FTO) feature that will allow the NVG to sweep away in the event of side impact.
- **The "INVG" helmet mount currently necessitates user manual goggle "shut off".
- Backward compatibility to existing fielded Norotos Front Bracket mounting platforms.
Shroud:
This Universal Shroud is designed to easily mount a night vision goggle to a 3 hole or 1 Hole helmet without the need for straps. The Universal Shroud attaches to various 3 hole and 1 Hole ballistic helmets with the most common being the MICH. This Universal Shroud will also fit non ballistic helmets such as PROTECH. If drilling is required please consult your helmet manufacture to obtain its effect on the integrity of your helmet.
Another feature the Universal Shroud has is its Lanyard Break Away Tether Plug, allowing one to attach a lanyard from their Universal shroud and goggles to keep them from misplacing one or the other. The Tether Plug is specifically designed to pop out of its socket when exposed to harsh environmental and combat conditions.

SHROUD “KNOCK-OFF” ALERT:
Norotos’ Low Profile Shrouds (1-hole, 3-hole and Universal) were engineered for precision performance interface with Norotos helmet mounts. Installing Norotos helmet mounts on shroud “knock-offs” will negatively impact the superior performance anticipated with Norotos mounts including the significant reduction of "wobble." Additionally, knock-off versions are normally limited to 3-hole mounting whereas the Norotos Universal Shroud easily attaches to helmets with 1 or 3 holes as well as helmets with no holes (with optional strap assembly).
